Kappa Delta Philanthropy. In 1900 a group of young men at Bridgewater State Normal School shared a dream of building a fraternity with the highest principles and standards. The philanthropic priorities of Kappa Alpha Theta include our own Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation, whose vision is to give every Theta every opportunity to make a difference in the world, and National CASA/GAL Association for Children, a network committed to providing a voice to abused and neglected children in the foster care system. In the spring, Kappa Delta hosts its annual Shamrock event to raise money for Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA) and it is our biggest philanthropy event of the year. Every summer KDE works extremely hard to get 100% participation in the Prouty that benefits the Norris Cotton Cancer Center.
